ABOUT
Mel Pritchard

Mel is a fully qualified Speech and Language Therapist with over a decade of experience. Since qualifying in 2011, she has worked within the NHS across both preschool and school-age teams, supporting children with a wide range of speech, language, and communication needs including attention and listening difficulties, speech sound delay/disorder and autism. She has a particular interest in Gestalt Language Processing.

Her experience spans a variety of settings, including nurseries, children's centres, mainstream schools, specialist language units, clinics, and home environments. This diverse background allows her to tailor therapy to each child’s individual needs and support them in the places where they learn and play best.

After raising her three children, Mel co-founded a charity in Warwickshire dedicated to supporting families with young children. Through this work, she began offering speech and language support to families supported by the charity, and went on to lead 'Peep' child development groups in Stratford-upon-Avon and Shipston-on-Stour. She now works as an independent Speech and Language Therapist.

Mel is a registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT), the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP), and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She also holds an enhanced DBS certificate for working with children.

Specialising in the preschool age group, Mel is passionate about early intervention and takes great pride in helping young children find their voices. She feels privileged to be part of each child’s journey, supporting their growth and celebrating every step forward.
